DESCRIPTION
A leading company in the mining sector undergoing strategic transformation—focused on the construction and development of a large-scale copper operation—is seeking a Deputy Projects Superintendent to lead the execution of highly complex mining construction projects.
**ROLE OF THE POSITION**
We seek a senior profile with solid experience in mining construction project execution, capable of complementing and substituting the Projects Superintendent, ensuring continuity and proper execution of a world-class transformation project.
The role entails high exposure to the Project Directorate and the CEO, with direct responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and quality of a copper concentrator plant project.
A highly solution-oriented, hands\-on profile is required, with executive leadership capability and autonomous field decision-making.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
* Lead and complement comprehensive management of the Projects area, including substitution of the Projects Superintendent.
* Direct planning, execution, and control of mining CAPEX construction projects.
* Supervise construction of the concentrator plant (sulfide flotation), open-pit mine, tailings storage facilities, camps, and associated infrastructure.
* Ensure proper integration among engineering, construction, and field execution.
* Manage EPC and EPCM contractors, as well as multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
* Coordinate with Operations areas (Mine, Plant, and Processes) as primary internal stakeholders.
* Manage budget, schedule, costs, and project progress control.
* Report progress to the Director of Projects and the CEO, participating in executive committees when required.
* Represent the company in technical and contractual meetings with consultants and contractors.
* Ensure compliance with safety, occupational health, and environmental standards.
REQUIREMENTS
Civil, Mechanical, or Mining Engineer, or related discipline. Valid professional license and registration.
Minimum 8 years’ experience leading mining construction projects.
Proven experience in copper concentrator plant construction (sulfide flotation processes).
Experience in open-pit mining and greenfield/brownfield projects.
Experience managing CAPEX projects under EPC and EPCM delivery models.
Advanced English.
