Comprehensive analysis of raw materials and products JOB DESCRIPTION **Grupo Calidra**, a leader in the lime and derivatives industry, is pleased to announce an opening for the position of **LABORATORY TECHNICIAN** at our facilities. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with solid technical knowledge to join our team and contribute to quality assurance in our production processes. **Main Responsibilities:** The incumbent will be responsible for conducting comprehensive analyses of raw materials, intermediate products, and critical inputs (such as petcoke and bags) directly involved in the manufacturing of lime and its derivatives. This entails the rigorous application of appropriate analytical techniques and strict compliance with applicable standards to guarantee product quality and consistency. REQUIREMENTS **Job Requirements:** * **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in similar roles within industrial or analytical laboratories. * **Education:** Technical or university-level education in chemistry, geology, mining, or related fields is preferred. * **Specific Technical Knowledge:** * **Knowledge of physical and chemical mineral testing:** Solid understanding and hands-on experience applying various analytical techniques for mineral characterization. * **Basic laboratory equipment handling:** Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain common laboratory equipment. * **Fundamental chemistry knowledge:** Strong foundation in chemistry applicable to industrial processes and analysis. * **Basic statistics knowledge and result interpretation:** Ability to statistically analyze data, interpret trends, and draw meaningful conclusions. * **Computer Tools:** Proficiency in **basic Microsoft Office applications** (Word, Excel, Outlook) for report generation and information management. **Skills and Competencies:** * Analytical and problem-solving ability. * Attention to detail and rigor in task execution. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively. * Results orientation and adherence to deadlines. * Proactivity and willingness for continuous learning. * Excellent communication skills.
