Position Summary:
We are seeking a Mine Geologist to identify mineralized zones and convert them into reserves and resources through geological mapping and coordination of exploration programs.

At Minera Toro de Plata, we are seeking a MINE GEOLOGIST whose objective is to identify mineralized zones that can become probable and proven reserves; and measured and indicated resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
\- Conduct geological mapping for exploration, preparation, development, and extraction activities.
\- Perform geological mapping with key parameters: lithology, alteration, structure, mineralogy, and rock mass texture.
\- Plan and coordinate with Mining and Planning departments the implementation and compliance of exploration, development, and extraction programs based on geological information.
\- Monitor dilution and identify mineral loss in stopes, and report laboratory assay results daily.
\- Define and manage required resources with the Geology Superintendent and Senior Geologist to fulfill assigned tasks.
\- Supervise and manage mineral extraction and haulage according to the following classification: economic mineral, evaluation mineral, low-grade mineral, and waste material.
\- Coordinate with sampling technicians to systematically collect samples.
\- Perform vein modeling using geological software, in coordination with the CAD Drafter.
\- Prepare maps containing geological, structural, mineralogical, and alteration mapping, as well as short-, medium-, and long-term exploration projects.
\- Interpret structural, mineralogical, and lithological information.
\- Conduct monthly resource and reserve estimation based on exploration, preparation, development, and extraction activities.
\- Update longitudinal sections for each vein or ore body.
\- Coordinate the updating of mine topographic information.
\- Develop a database of mine geology and diamond drilling information for modeling in software.
\- Apply QA\-QC procedures to underground mine sampling activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
\- Licensed and registered Geological Engineer.
\- Eight (8) years of experience in similar positions (preferred).
\- Advanced proficiency in: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MineSight, ArcGIS, S10, Leapfrog.
\- Solid modeling software experience preferred.
\- Willingness to work at the Mining Unit under a 14 x 7 shift schedule (Huancayo).
