Ensure safe structures to safeguard communities. **Requisition Number:** 23538BR **Description:** Stantec seeks to hire a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for its offices in LATAM, a professional with at least 20 years of work experience in this specialty. Key responsibilities include: Leading a multidisciplinary team experienced in the investigation, design, operation, and closure of TSFs, in accordance with international (GISTM and CDA) and applicable local practices and standards. Maintaining close communication with the owner, designer, contractor, CQC, CQA, and other parties involved in this process to ensure a safe structure that protects the lives and property of adjacent communities. **Qualifications:** Experience: * Civil Engineer with a Technical Master’s degree * 20–25 years of work experience * 15–20 years as Lead TSF Designer * 10–15 years as Engineer of Record (EoR) * Experience managing multidisciplinary and multicultural teams * Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English * Knowledge of new international TSF design and management standards * Extensive expertise in geotechnics, hydrology, geology, rheology, and related fields * Professional and commercial network within major international mining companies operating in Latin America * Willingness to relocate to Latin America for a minimum period of 2 years **About Stantec:** We are active members of the communities we serve.
