**POSITION MISSION:** Develop and implement advanced analytics and artificial intelligence solutions for mine, plant, maintenance, and other MCP areas by analyzing information and developing statistical simulation tools/models; identify processes with higher variability through modeling techniques/continuous improvement methodologies to contribute to improving production KPIs, providing recommendations and decision-support tools that enhance safety, stability, reliability, and operational performance.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Analyze operational data from mine, plant, maintenance, and other MCP areas to identify improvement opportunities, constraints, performance deviations, and relevant operating ranges; prepare periodic reports related to study/evaluation management.
* Conduct diagnostics and identify high-variability processes using statistical analysis, data mining, and AI; develop recommendations on operational conditions for cross-functional operational optimization.
* Develop and implement advanced analytics and artificial intelligence solutions for mine, plant, maintenance, and other MCP areas using predictive, descriptive, and prescriptive modeling techniques to identify optimization opportunities, reduce process variability, and strengthen operational decision-making.
* Participate in the design, validation, and enhancement of user-oriented dashboards, indicators, and analytical tools in coordination with data and development teams.
* Develop equipment health modeling tools, anomaly detection systems, and failure prediction models in coordination with maintenance and reliability teams, monitoring the performance of implemented solutions.
* Participate in analyses, simulations, digital twins, and optimization models regarding potential operational scenarios arising from proposed operational changes.
* Prepare technical and benefits reports documenting analyses, models, results, and recommendations.
In 2007, Aluminum Corporation of China (CHINALCO) established Minera Chinalco Perú S.A. (Chinalco Perú) to construct, develop, and operate the Toromocho copper mega-project.
Toromocho Mining Unit has been the first world-class copper mine executed and developed end-to-end overseas by a Chinese company. It is located in the Morococha District, Yauli Province, Junín Department, at over 4,500 meters above sea level.
It operates a concentrator plant processing approximately 117,200 tons of ore per day.
Today, Chinalco Perú is one of the most important enterprises within China Copper and the largest wholly foreign-owned subsidiary of CHINALCO.
Requirements
**1\.\- Degrees:** METALLURGICAL ENGINEERING, MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING, INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING, MINING ENGINEERING, COMPUTER ENGINEERING
**2\.\- Experience:** 6 years overall, 4 years in the sector, 3 years in the position
**3\.\- Technical Tools:** Python (Intermediate), EXCEL (Intermediate), MS PROJECT (Intermediate), MINITAB (Intermediate), SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) (Intermediate), PI System (Intermediate).
**4\.\- Preferred Certifications:** Specialization in Advanced Analytics, Data Science or Artificial Intelligence; experience in handling and/or analyzing geometallurgical work
