Job Summary: Lead and execute electronic initiation processes for blasting, ensuring proper detonation and optimal use of the DaveyTronic System to deliver value to the customer. Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead and coordinate blasting tasks while controlling risks. 2. Ensure stock and resources for electronic blasting. 3. Design, program, connect, and detonate blasts. **Mission or Objective**: Lead and execute the electronic blasting initiation process to ensure correct detonation as required by the customer. Ensure proper execution of DaveyTronic System tasks and guarantee that the system is used optimally to deliver added value to the customer. * Lead, plan, and coordinate tasks with personnel involved in blasting, adhering to quality standards that enable preventive risk control. * Ensure adequate stock of DaveyTronic products at the operation site and sufficient resources to conduct electronic blasting in accordance with company standards. * Verify and monitor compliance with KPIs associated with the DaveyTronic System within the operation. * Perform blast design, programming, connection, checking, charging, and detonation. * Review PETS and update them jointly with the SIE Representative / Service Manager. * Verify that information-generation processes related to the DaveyTronic System are collected and managed at the operation site according to company standards. * Conduct customer training on products and their properties. * Train new users of the DaveyTronic System on operational procedures. * Influence internal/external customers by meeting their needs and requirements. * Coordinate blasting activities with the customer and provide process reports. * Deliver presentations to the Service Manager/SIE Representative regarding product performance and/or necessary improvements, and investigate incidents. * Collect blasting process data and generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering indicators, progress, anomalies, support for downstream post-blast result tracking, and improvement opportunities. **Requirements**: * Minimum 3 years of experience in mining. * 1 year of experience with electronic initiation systems. * Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or Mining Technician diploma or related field. * Knowledge of blasting processes. * Knowledge of explosives and detonators, including their usage and properties. * Blasting design software. * Knowledge of initiation sequence design.
