Job Summary: We are seeking a Trainee Geologist to support geological exploration, core logging, sampling, and monitoring of drilling campaigns in underground mining. Key Highlights: 1. Participation in quality control (QA/QC) **Compañía Minera Casma S.A.C.** is seeking a **Trainee Geologist** to join our Geology team at an underground mining operation located in **Casma**. Main Responsibilities * Support field geological exploration activities. * Perform geological and geotechnical core logging. * Execute sample marking, cutting, sampling, and preparation for analysis. * Record and update geological information in physical and digital formats. * Provide support in monitoring diamond drilling campaigns. * Participate in quality control (QA/QC) activities. * Comply with Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental (SSOMA) procedures. * Assist in preparing technical reports and other tasks assigned by the responsible Geologist. Requirements * Bachelor’s degree or graduate in Geological Engineering or Geology. * Preferred 6 months to 1 year of experience in mining exploration or field geology (pre-professional and professional internships considered). * Preferred experience in geological logging, core sampling, or exploration campaigns. * Knowledge of economic geology, mining exploration, diamond drilling, and quality control (QA/QC). * Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office. * Preferred knowledge of Leapfrog Geo, ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, or similar geological software.
