Active participation in technological integration and process optimization. **Extraordinary people, trusted by clients to design and advance the world.** Wood is seeking an Instrumentation and Control Engineer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in instrumentation, control systems, and telecommunications within the mining industry, for office- and site-based work focused on the Minerals and Metals business line. This opportunity is on-site in offices and at project sites in Peru. **The Role** Key responsibilities include: * Design, specification, and review of instrumentation, control, and telecommunications systems. * Technical coordination with other disciplines and suppliers. * On-site supervision and support during execution and commissioning. * Compliance with applicable quality, safety, and regulatory standards. * Active participation in technological integration and process optimization. It will take all of us working together to deliver solutions to the world’s most critical challenges. **Required:** * Minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering project development, ideally with BIM management experience in copper and gold concentrator plants. * Knowledge and experience with market-available equipment and technologies for: + DCS/PLC control systems. + SCADA systems. + Fire detection and alarm systems. + IT/OT networks and fiber-optic networks. + Communication protocols: FF, Profibus DP, Profinet, IEC61850, among others. + Field instrumentation and control valves. * Experience in developing Control & Instrumentation (C&I) engineering documentation: + Design criteria, block diagrams, communication diagrams, P\&ID, control philosophies, logic diagrams, and other C\&I documents. + In-depth knowledge of applicable national and international standards. * Proficiency in English to interact with international clients and counterparts. * Experience in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) procedures. * Proficiency with computer tools: + Advanced MS Office + Aveva Electrical and Instrumentation * Skills to manage relationships with clients and suppliers. * Availability for on-site work in Santiago offices and at project sites. **Desirable:** **Preferred or beneficial skills/experience.** * Smart Plant Instrumentation proficiency * Aveva Electrical and Instrumentation proficiency * Project leadership experience Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
