The WTP Project comprises two of the largest acid water treatment plants in South America (the West plant will have a capacity of 3\.000 and the East plant 2\.700 m3/hour). Early Works are currently underway at site, preparing permanent platforms and laydown areas for the East and West plants, as well as Class 2 estimating, Level 3 scheduling, and the Execution Plan. **Job Summary:** ----------------------- This position reports to the People & Compensation Specialist, People & Compensation Supervisor, or WS Manager in the payroll process for project benefit, and is responsible for performing labor compensation functions on Construction Projects under the Civil Construction Regime and General Regime, working on a project and/or within a Shared Services environment. It interfaces with site administration, finance, payroll, and systems development teams. Ensures labor compensation process activities comply with company, site, and legal requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** ---------------------------------- * Verify and coordinate that information provided by the Finance Department has been transferred correctly and timely. * Verify that documentation submitted by the Workforce to the Recruitment Department is complete for assembling personnel files. * Track and renew contracts in accordance with applicable legal regulations. * Provide reporting to the Labor Relations Department regarding medical leave day tracking to trigger necessary alerts for correct subsidy assignment. * Receive weekly reports from the Labor Relations Department on various worker-related events. * Ensure compliance with Bechtel policies and practices and Workforce Services policies. * Stay current with labor laws and related legislation applicable to construction/general regime workers and their compensation. * Assist in preparing project payroll slips. **Requirements: Education and Experience:** ---------------------------------------- * Role requires a graduate and/or degree holder in Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, Industrial Relations, Labor Relations, Construction Administration, or a closely related field. * Role requires 2–4 years of relevant experience. **Required Knowledge and Skills:** ------------------------------------------- * Prior direct experience related to compensation under the Civil Construction Regime and General Regime. * Proven experience in compensation or timekeeping activities to achieve organizational Labor Relations objectives. * Experience preparing compensation under construction and general regimes, including direct hiring. * Knowledge of labor and employment laws. * Knowledge of workforce hiring practices in Peru, including topics such as work schedules, unions, and employee relations. * Preference for prior compensation experience on construction/mining projects. * Preference for experience with Monthly Payroll or PLAME under the Civil Construction Regime and Common Regime. * Familiarity with civil construction payroll concepts. * Preference for experience with SAP as a payroll and/or HRIS system. * Basic English communication skills (written and spoken) preferred. * Desirable experience as a Bechtel partner or joint venture (JV), as well as knowledge of Bechtel’s construction practices. **Benefits:** --------------- For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of engineers—and beyond!
