You will perform safe lifting, movement, and positioning of heavy loads, coordinating with operators and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

**Requirements:**
* Completed secondary education
* Valid driver's license

**Experience:**
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Rigger, commensurate with the tonnage required for the project or similar positions in Construction, Metal-Mechanical, or Mining industries.
**Primary Function:**
Perform safe lifting, movement, and positioning of heavy loads, directly coordinating with crane operators and ensuring strict adherence to safety procedures, technical standards, and load capacity limits (up to 20, 30, 40, and 50 tons).
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Prepare and execute heavy-load lifting operations according to the approved lifting plan.
* Inspect and select lifting equipment (slings, shackles, hooks, spreader beams, etc.) based on load type, weight, and shape.
* Coordinate with crane operators to execute lifting and placement of loads, ensuring safety and precision.
* Verify crane load capacity, working angles, outreach radii, and ground conditions before each operation.
* Confirm that the load is properly secured and balanced prior to lifting.
* Coordinate with the assembly supervisor on the sequence of lifts and installations per schedule.
* Inspect and verify that all equipment and accessories are appropriate for safe and successful lifting.
* Develop a lifting operation work plan.
* Rig and stow the load.
* Control and supervise the crane’s safe movement during lifting.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including correct use of PPE and worksite signage.
* Identify unsafe conditions or defective equipment and report them promptly.
* Support installation and assembly of metallic components at plant or field sites.
* Support planning of critical lifts and risk assessment.
* Maintain records of completed lifting operations and lifting equipment usage.
* Maintain safe distances from any elements that could endanger the operation or personnel.
* Assess weather conditions and determine when it is unsafe to proceed with lifting.
* Participate in coordination meetings and daily safety briefings before commencement of activities.
* Comply with standards, regulations, and procedures established under the Integrated Management System for Safety, Occupational Health, Environment, and Quality (ISO 9001:2015; ISO 14001:2015; ISO 45001:2018\).
* Be responsible for your own safety and that of workers under your supervision, as well as facilities, equipment, materials, and environment.
* Be familiar with SIG SSTMAC policies and verify their implementation.
* Halt operations or tasks in high-risk situations until such risks are eliminated or minimized.
* Ensure order and cleanliness across all work areas under your responsibility.
* Inform workers about workplace hazards.
* Submit required reports—weekly, biweekly, and/or monthly—as requested, summarizing performed activities and upon completion of your assignment on site.
* Perform other duties within your area of competence as assigned by your immediate supervisor.
