Service Technician - Contract

Job Summary: We are seeking a technician or bachelor's degree holder to perform evaluations, repairs, and maintenance on heavy underground and surface mining equipment. Key Highlights: 1. Evaluate and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems in mining equipment. 2. Intervene in the repair of major components such as motors and gearboxes. 3. Furthermore, Sandvik does NOT discriminate on any basis and complies fully with applicable laws. **Key Responsibilities:** * Perform evaluations of equipment covered under the service contract. * Report and prepare spare parts requests for scheduled work according to accumulated operating hours of components. * Evaluate highly complex mechanical and/or electrical systems in assigned low-profile equipment. * Repair, commission, or replace complex electrical components such as control panels or electrical circuits. * Intervene in the repair and replacement of major components including motors, gearboxes, converters, cylinders, shafts, among others. * Respond to high-complexity emergencies and unexpected failures, reducing equipment response times. **Requirements:** * Certified technician and/or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, heavy machinery, or related fields. * Heavy machinery maintenance training (desirable). * Minimum 2 years’ experience in maintenance activities for heavy underground and/or surface mining equipment within mining units. * AIIB license (mandatory, with over 2 years’ validity) for both underground mine and surface operations. **Benefits:** * We offer a pleasant work environment, competitive benefits, and development opportunities.
