We’re looking for a **Intermediate Software Engineer (PHP)** with strong experience in **Laravel and WordPress** to design, build, and maintain high\-quality web applications. You will play a key role throughout the project lifecycle—from kickoff and architecture decisions to deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement—while maintaining clear communication with both technical and non\-technical stakeholders.### **Responsibilities** You’ll work closely with clients, Product Owners, and cross\-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and well\-documented solutions. **Client \& Stakeholder Communication** * Provide **daily standups** and regular progress updates to clients. * Participate in **1:1 meetings** with managers, clients, Product Owners, and Project Managers, offering technical insights and guidance. * Help translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions. **Development \& Maintenance** * Develop, maintain, and enhance **PHP applications using Laravel**. * Build, customize, and maintain **WordPress websites**, including: * Custom themes and plugins * Performance optimization and security hardening * Integration with external APIs and services * Implement updates and changes according to **client requirements, product needs, and Statements of Work (SOW)**. * Ensure code quality, performance, scalability, and security best practices. **Project Lifecycle \& Delivery** * Actively contribute to **project kickoff meetings**, helping define technical scope, architecture, and deliverables. * Create and maintain **technical documentation**, including system architecture, API documentation, and setup guides. * Deploy applications to **staging and production environments**. * Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs or production issues. **Integration \& Prototyping** * Document and test **APIs provided by clients** and ensure seamless integration. * Set up **basic prototype systems** to demonstrate features and workflows. * Configure tools such as **ngrok** for local testing, collaboration, and secure sharing. **Collaboration \& Growth** * Collaborate closely with **Front\-End teams** and other cross\-functional teams to meet deadlines and project goals. * Participate in planning, estimation, and technical decision\-making. * **Optionally upskill in front\-end frameworks** and modern web technologies. ### **Qualifications** * Fluent English (written and spoken) * 3\+ years of professional experience as a **PHP Developer** * BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) * Strong experience with **Laravel** * Solid hands\-on experience with **WordPress**, including custom themes and plugins * Deep understanding of: * MVC design patterns * Object\-oriented PHP * PHP’s synchronous behavior and limitations * Working knowledge of **JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3** * Experience with: * SQL and/or NoSQL databases * Database schema design for business processes * API integrations and third\-party services * Strong understanding of **security, accessibility, and performance best practices** * Familiarity with common PHP/web server vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies * Experience with **authentication and authorization across multiple systems** * Proficient with **Git** and modern version control workflows ### **What you’ll love about us** * A **fast\-growing company** with meaningful projects * An **international, collaborative work environment** * **5\-day work week** E04JI80034mh4096hfc
