Travel allowances covered for provincial trips A software development company is looking to hire a Computer and Information Technology Technician to provide technical support, installation, and demonstration of our electronic invoicing system to clients nationwide. RESPONSIBILITIES: Installation, configuration, and commissioning of the system at client sites (on-site and remote). Telephone and remote technical support for active clients. On-site and virtual commercial demonstrations of the system for sales closure. End-user training on software usage. Provincial travel for installations and training (expenses covered). Installation and configuration of printers (thermal, dot-matrix, laser), barcode scanners, and POS peripherals. PC assembly, maintenance, and formatting. Network cabling, RJ45 termination, IP configuration, and local network setup. Basic SQL Server query support and database management assistance. REQUIREMENTS: Technical diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related fields. Demonstrable knowledge of: PC assembly, hard drives, memory modules, Windows installation. Structured cabling and network configuration (IP, RJ45\). Printer and peripheral installation. Basic SQL Server knowledge (SELECT queries, table management). Strong verbal communication skills and professional appearance (essential for demonstrations). Patience and customer service orientation. Willingness to travel provincially on occasion. Flexible working hours (after-hours support compensated with production bonuses).
