Job Summary: We are seeking a Freelance Junior 2D Animator to create frame-by-frame animations, adapting to the visual style of video game projects. Key Highlights: 1. Collaborate with an indie video game development team. 2. Create frame-by-frame 2D animations for simple movements. 3. Flexible and recurring work based on project progress. We are an indie video game development team looking for a Freelance Junior 2D Animator to support the creation of simple frame-by-frame animations. The work involves animating pre-existing character, object, or game element designs. Base designs will be provided, and when necessary, explanations of how they were created will also be given to ensure the animation maintains the same visual style. The animations will be small and simple, but the quantity may vary depending on project progress. Some months we may request several animations, while other months fewer. The idea is to begin with a first animation or a small batch; if the result fits the project, we will continue working recurrently. Main Responsibilities: * Create frame-by-frame 2D animations. * Animate simple movements for video games. * Deliver the corresponding sprite sheet. * Deliver editable source files for future modifications. * In some cases, deliver a video or GIF preview. * Adapt to the project’s visual style—primarily cartoon—with potential future work in pixel art. Requirements: * Basic knowledge of frame-by-frame 2D animation. * Proficiency with at least one 2D drawing or animation tool. * Ability to follow references and instructions. * Organized file delivery. * Adherence to agreed deadlines. * Prior professional experience is not mandatory, but a portfolio or animation samples will be valued. Work Mode: * 100% remote work. * Freelance / project-based. * Applicants from any country are welcome. Compensation: Compensation will be per animation or per batch of animations. Before starting each assignment, the estimated number of hours required and the corresponding cost will be agreed upon. Payment will be made upon delivery and approval of the animation, according to the agreed terms. If the applicant has a sufficient portfolio or samples, no initial test will be required. If no samples are available, a small non-commercial technical test may be requested. If the test is approved and subsequently used in the project, it will be compensated as a regular animation. We seek someone who wants to collaborate with an indie team, is eager to learn, can produce high-quality simple animations, and has an interest in 2D video games. Salary: S/.5\.00 \- S/.20\.00 per hour Application Question(s): * How many hours per week could you dedicate to this project? Please indicate whether you are available to work at least continuous weekly blocks of 4 hours when animations are requested. * Briefly tell us about your experience creating frame-by-frame 2D animations for video games or similar projects. Include the types of animations you’ve created, tools used, and, if available, share a link to your portfolio or work samples. Work Location: Remote
