Job Summary: Buenaventura is seeking a Data Science Intern to support the development of risk analysis modules, evaluation of drilling plans, and integration of database and computer vision tools. Integration of tools into Buenaventura's internal software. **Date:** Apr 21, 2026 **Location:** 14 \- LIMA, PE **Company:** Buenaventura At Buenaventura, we are seeking a **Corporate Data Science Intern**: **Key Responsibilities:** * Support in developing the Risk Analysis module, including geometric sensitivity, grade, density, and cash flow analysis. * Support in developing the Drilling Plans Evaluation module. * Support in developing tools that integrate the database with the Portar GIS Web platform. * Support in developing the image labeling verification module. * Support in implementing model training for computer vision using SegFormer, Mask2Former, and SAM2 algorithms. * Support in integrating previously developed tools into BVN's in-house software. **Professional Profile:** * Students from the 8th semester onward in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. * Advanced knowledge of algorithms. * Intermediate knowledge of Python, SQL Server, machine learning, and deep learning. * Basic knowledge of Rust, Linux server administration, cloud notebooks (Microsoft Azure, Google Colab, JupyterHub), or GPU-enabled environments. * Desired experience in computer vision or NLP projects, or familiarity with libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, OpenCV, Scikit\-learn, or NLTK/spaCy. ***IMPORTANT!*** ***Buenaventura does not request any payments to participate in its selection processes.
