**Logistics Operations Assistant (Remote, Work From Anywhere)**
*Full\-Time \| Freight Relay Group*
**Note on Location:** While this posting may show a specific country due to platform formatting, this is a fully remote position open to applicants worldwide. We welcome applications from any country.
**About Us**
Freight Relay Group is a carrier representation agency operating out of the Port of NY/NJ. We represent qualified carriers in the market, securing freight through established broker relationships and managing the operational work behind every load. We are a small, focused team and we take the work seriously.
**The Role**
We are looking for a detail\-oriented, organized, and communicative coordinator to join our operations team remotely. You will be the communication bridge between our brokers and our carriers, managing load threads, relaying updates, handling documents, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks across multiple active loads at once.
No freight experience required. The terminology and workflow are learnable. What is not teachable is the attention to detail and the urgency this role demands.
**Schedule**
This role operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time. Applicants must be available during these hours regardless of their local time zone.
**What You'll Do**
* Create and manage a dedicated email thread for every active load, keeping broker and carrier communication organized and separate
* Relay scheduling requests, status updates, and confirmations between brokers and carrier dispatch throughout the life of each container
* Collect, verify, and distribute load documents at each stage, including work orders, bills of lading, delivery confirmations, gate tickets, and invoices
* Flag delays, detention risks, overweight issues, and anything affecting timing or cost immediately
* Chase outstanding paperwork, rate confirmations, and payments until every file is fully closed
* Navigate terminal websites and shipping line tracking tools to independently verify container status when needed
* Merge, organize, and manage PDF documents as part of the daily document workflow
* Manage high volumes of email across multiple simultaneous loads without losing track of any of them
**What We're Looking For**
* Fluent English, written and spoken. You will communicate professionally with brokers and carriers by email and phone every day.
* Strong attention to detail. In this role, sending the wrong document to the wrong party is not just a paperwork error. It has real consequences.
* Fast, organized email management. Response times in this role are measured in minutes, not hours.
* Comfortable working across multiple tasks simultaneously without losing accuracy.
* Proficient with computers, email, Google Workspace, Excel, and PDF tools.
* Coachable, reliable, and willing to learn an industry from the ground up.
**Preferred But Not Required**
* Customer support or coordination experience in any industry
* Familiarity with logistics, freight, or port operations
**Compensation**
Competitive salary paid in USD, on a schedule aligned with local standards.
**Growth**
This is an entry level role with real growth potential. We are a small team that is actively scaling. If you are sharp, reliable, and hungry to grow, there are opportunities to take on more responsibility over time.
**To Apply**
Send your resume and a brief note in English explaining why this role is a good fit for where you are right now to hiring@freightrelaygroup.com.
