Job Summary: We are seeking an auditor to conduct inspection visits to hostels, evaluating cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and guest experience, and reporting findings and recommended actions directly to hostel owners. Key Responsibilities: 1. Conduct standard checklist-based audit visits to hostels. 2. Identify risks and non-conformities related to safety and hygiene. 3. Prepare clear and concise reports with supporting evidence. Job Objective **Conduct short (1-hour) on-site visits 2–3 times per week during variable hours to assess the actual condition of hostels (cleanliness, maintenance, safety, guest experience, and operational order) using a standardized checklist, and report findings, evidence, and recommended actions directly to owners.** Responsibilities * Conduct scheduled or unannounced on-site visits (as agreed) on various days/times. * Execute area-specific inspection checklists: * Entrance/lobby, reception, common bathrooms, hallways * Guest rooms/dorms (representative sample) * Bar/rooftop (if applicable) * Storage areas/back door, laundry (if applicable) * Safety: evacuation routes, fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, signage * Critical points: odors, humidity, noise, lighting, quick WiFi test * Collect evidence: photos and notes (always respecting guest privacy). * Identify risks and non-conformities: safety, hygiene, maintenance, reputation (online reviews). * Deliver a brief report after each visit. * Provide a weekly summary highlighting trends: improvements, recurring issues, priorities. **Required Profile** * Prior experience in hotel/hostel operations or quality auditing (ideally 2+ years). * Ability to write clear and direct reports. * High ethical standards, discretion, and sound judgment (handling sensitive situations). * Availability for variable hours and short-duration visits. * Desirable * Basic English proficiency. * Knowledge of safety standards and best practices (e.g., fire extinguishers, evacuation routes).
