Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic, responsible, and leadership-oriented Café Operations Manager to supervise and actively participate in daily operations, lead the team, and resolve operational needs. Continuous training and development in operations. **Lumo Café** is looking to welcome a **Café Operations Manager** to its team — a dynamic, responsible, and leadership-driven individual who not only supervises but also actively participates in daily operations. We seek someone with experience in cafés, restaurants, or food-and-beverage businesses, capable of **leading a small team, serving customers, preparing products, and promptly addressing operational needs**. YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES **Operations and Customer Service** * Supervise and organize team activities during your shift. * Serve and guide customers, ensuring an excellent experience. * Directly support the dining area when operational needs arise. * Assist at the cash register and order fulfillment. * Prepare coffee, hot and cold beverages. * Prepare juices and other menu beverages. * Support product preparation and fulfillment as needed. * Serve as the team’s primary support during peak hours. * Resolve complaints, incidents, and operational issues promptly and appropriately. **Coffee and Quality** * Verify correct preparation of coffees and beverages. * Perform or supervise espresso machine calibration. * Monitor product presentation and quality before delivery to customers. * Ensure adherence to established recipes and standards. * Identify opportunities to improve speed, quality, and presentation. **Operational Control** * Conduct weekly and monthly inventory counts. * Manage supplies, products, and materials. * Prepare and monitor production sheets. * Track shrinkage, waste, and inventory discrepancies. * Timely request necessary products and supplies. * Coordinate with suppliers and logistics. * Conduct operational purchases as required. * Record merchandise receipts, invoices, and inter-store transfers. * Prepare sales and operational performance reports. **Production** * Coordinate daily and weekly production with the kitchen. * Review production levels relative to sales. * Identify best- and slow-selling items. * Participate in proposing and developing new products. * Support updating and correcting recipes. * Review costs and ensure proper usage of supplies. **Cleaning and Food Safety** * Continuously supervise cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen, bar, storage, and equipment. * Comply with and enforce food hygiene and handling protocols. * Monitor expiration dates and ensure proper product rotation. * Complete opening, operational, and closing checklists. * Liaise with regulatory authorities as required. **Leadership** * Organize team schedules and responsibilities. * Train and guide staff on service and operational procedures. * Monitor each team member’s task execution. * Provide feedback to the team and report incidents. * Maintain a positive work environment and effective communication. * Set the example in attitude, service, organization, and commitment during operations. IMPORTANT This is **NOT a desk-based administrative position**. We seek a manager who can **lead and operate simultaneously**. During a shift, you may be reviewing inventory one moment and preparing a cappuccino, serving a table, making a juice, assisting at the register, or supporting the team during rush hour the next.
