Support migration of legacy applications to modern architecture **Junior Backend .NET Developer** Capital Services is a Swiss money transfer company looking for a Junior Backend .NET Developer to join its engineering team as an independent contractor. The position is fully remote and open to candidates located in Latin America. **Responsibilities** * Develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs using C\# and .NET. * Write automated tests for new features. * Work with SQL Server databases. * Create and maintain technical documentation in English. * Participate in code reviews. * Support the migration of legacy applications to a modern architecture. * Collaborate with the technical lead and other developers. **Requirements** * 0–2 years of professional development experience. Personal projects are also considered. * Knowledge of C\#, .NET, Web API, dependency injection, and async/await. * Basic knowledge of SQL Server, including joins and query analysis. * Experience using Git. * Experience using AI\-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar. * Ability to review and validate AI\-generated code before submitting it. * English level B2 or higher. **Desirable skills** * REST APIs and OpenAPI. * React or TypeScript. * Docker and CI/CD. * Previous remote\-work experience. * Spanish communication skills. **Working conditions** * Fully remote. * Independent contractor agreement. * Candidates must provide their own computer. * Monthly invoices and payments in USD. * Availability during working hours that overlap with Ecuador and Switzerland. * Initial evaluation after 90 days. **How to apply** Please submit the following information in English: * Your CV or LinkedIn profile. * A link to a GitHub, GitLab, or another code repository. * A brief explanation of how you use AI coding tools and how you verify the generated code. * Your expected monthly rate in USD. **The recruitment process includes an introductory call, a practical pairing session using an AI development tool, a final interview, and reference checks.** Job Type: Full\-time Work Location: Remote
