**Location:** Arequipa
**Job Purpose:**
Supervise equipment repair and component assembly activities according to established scheduling and procedures for mechanical and/or welding work, optimizing resources and maintaining workshop operational continuity; comply with Quality, Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems; to properly safeguard and preserve inventory assets.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Develop detailed activity schedules in coordination with planning to carry out disassembly, evaluation, welding, and fabrication tasks within established timeframes.
Review scope and proper completion of welding repair minutes, thermal treatment records, and associated controls.
Develop and maintain up-to-date welding repair procedures, lifting operations, thermal treatment, and testing procedures both in-house and at customer sites.
Supervise and assign operational staff to execute assigned tasks in accordance with established procedures and timelines.
Validate and submit worker hours reports to the responsible department.
Report malfunctions of workshop equipment assigned to your team.
Coordinate equipment, component, and spare parts receipt and dispatch.
Request replacement of tools, lifting equipment, and other items required to perform activities.
Fulfill all labor obligations as stipulated by applicable legislation and internal company policies, including those related to occupational health and safety—both for the company and its customers—and train personnel under your supervision to comply with such obligations.
Other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor in accordance with your position.
**To succeed, you must meet the following requirements:**
Graduate or Bachelor’s degree in Technical or University programs such as Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical-Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Welding, or related fields.
5 years of professional experience performing similar leadership or supervisory roles.
CWI certification (Mandatory)
Experience in welding repair and thermal treatment of crushing, grinding, processing, and heavy mineral handling equipment.
Knowledge of welded part fabrication and welding processes SMAW, FCAW, SAW, and GTAW.
Knowledge of material characterization and non-destructive testing.
Ability to read mechanical and welding drawings, bearing selection and assembly, and selection of fits and tolerances.
Knowledge of metal spray and polymer coating processes, lifting and flipping operations for components.
Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement tools.
Intermediate-level Office software proficiency.
Intermediate-level English language proficiency.
Driver’s license.
