We are seeking a Safety / SSOMA Engineer to implement and ensure compliance with Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental standards in civil works projects.

Safety / SSOMA Engineer – Civil Works
**MG TRANSPORTE INGENIERÍA SERVICIOS** is looking for a **Safety / SSOMA Engineer** to join our team and guarantee the proper implementation and compliance with **Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental** standards across our projects.
Work Location
* **Pucusana** – Reference: La Honda Beach.
* **Punta Negra** – Reference: Entrance to Punta Rocas.
* **Transportation included** for project entry and exit.
Main Responsibilities
* Implement, maintain, and monitor the **Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Management System (SSOMA)** on site.
* Develop, update, and verify compliance with **safety, health, and environmental plans and procedures**.
* Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment, and control determination (**IPERC**).
* Supervise compliance with safety procedures and standards during work execution.
* Conduct and/or coordinate **daily safety talks**, inductions, and staff training.
* Verify proper and mandatory use of **Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)** according to identified activities and risks.
* Control and keep updated documentation related to **SCTR, insurance, safety records, and personnel safety documentation**.
* Conduct field safety inspections, identifying unsafe acts and conditions, and follow up on corrective actions.
* Investigate workplace incidents and accidents and track corresponding corrective actions.
* Verify correct implementation of signage, safety controls, and preventive measures in work areas.
* Coordinate and verify implementation of **preventive and emergency response measures**.
* Participate in drills and activities related to emergency preparedness and response.
* Provide or coordinate **first aid** in emergency situations.
* Supervise and/or train staff on the **proper use of fire extinguishers** and emergency equipment.
* Prepare required safety, occupational health, and environmental reports and documentation for the project.
* Promote a preventive culture and compliance with safety regulations and standards on site.
Requirements
* **Engineer specialized in Safety, Occupational Health, SSOMA, Occupational Risk Prevention, or related fields**.
* Minimum **3 years** of documented and verifiable experience in civil works and/or construction.
* Experience in **developing and implementing SSOMA Management Systems**.
* Experience in developing and monitoring **safety, health, and environmental plans for civil works projects**.
* Knowledge of current Peruvian legal regulations on **Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Protection**.
* Knowledge and experience in **IPERC, ATS, safety inspections, daily safety talks, training, and PPE control**.
* Experience in controlling and monitoring **SCTR and personnel safety documentation**.
* Competency in **first aid and fire extinguisher use**.
* Leadership, communication, and fieldwork capabilities.
* Availability to work on the specified projects.
Working Hours
* **Monday to Friday:** 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
* **Saturday:** 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
