We are currently recruiting for the following vacancy on behalf of our client, a leading company in the Cable Industry: CNC OR CONVENTIONAL LATHE OPERATOR Department: Mechanical Engineering Job Objective To machine industrial parts according to technical drawings and established protocols, ensuring precision, quality, and compliance with tolerance requirements. Main Responsibilities Interpret technical drawings prior to machining each part. Perform machining of programmed parts within the specified tolerance range. Monitor and verify measurements of machined parts. Prepare machines for execution of scheduled tasks. Perform basic maintenance on tools used. Carry out torch cutting of parts when required. Promptly report any issues or irregularities to the Supervisor. Comply with safety regulations, Internal Regulations, RISST, and current policies. Know and apply controls related to occupational hazards and environmental aspects. Required Profile Education: Higher Technical Diploma (graduated or certified). Technical Training: Machine Tool Mechanic Production Mechanic Mechatronics for Metal-Mechanical Manufacturing Precision Mechanic Die Maker Key Knowledge: Reading and interpretation of mechanical drawings. Experience: 2–5 years in similar positions within the metal-mechanical or related sectors. Conditions and Benefits Piece-rate pay (per unit produced). Mobility subsidy. 80% subsidized lunch.
