A key technical role with direct client interaction A commercial steel company is currently seeking a Technical Area Representative who meets the following profile. TECHNICAL AREA REPRESENTATIVE – STEEL Responsibilities \- Conduct on-site visits to clients and provide advisory support regarding the proper use of product lines, in coordination with the Sales Department. \- Address and resolve client technical inquiries and/or doubts via email, telephone, and/or in person, as appropriate. \- Provide necessary technical information to support marketing-related publications, in coordination with Commercial Management and Leadership. \- Perform structural steel material designs and calculations for projects in which the company participates. \- Pre-validate, prior to importation, whether suppliers’ technical specifications (chemical composition and physical properties) align with the intended product application and with current Peruvian standards. \- Maintain up-to-date records of import quality certificates, material test results, and product technical datasheets. \- Supervise product transformation quality and quantity (yield) at supplier facilities. \- Review new product creation in the Logistics & Commercial Module, specifying description, abbreviations, weight or product equivalency, tariff classification, among others. \- Provide technical sales support. \- Meet monthly work schedules. \- Submit daily reports to management and department heads. Requirements \- Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. \- Preferably with specialization studies in corrosion materials and/or sales, and recent professional updating courses. \- Experience in steel sales and/or industrial sector products. \- Knowledge of the national market. \- Preferably hold a Category A1 driver’s license. \- Availability for interprovincial travel. \- Basic computer software proficiency: Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Word, and Outlook. \- Technical English.
