Position Summary: We are seeking a Mine Electrical Technician to perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance, diagnose faults, and ensure operational continuity in a mining environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance at the mine and camp. 2. Diagnose electrical faults and comply with safety procedures. 3. Coordinate with teams to ensure safe work practices and minimize operational impact. A mining company is seeking a Mine Electrical Technician to carry out preventive, corrective, and operational-response electrical maintenance on equipment, electrical installations, switchboards, motors, pumps, lighting systems, and auxiliary services at the mine and camp. We seek a technically proficient, responsible, safety-conscious professional capable of diagnosing electrical faults in the field, adhering to safety procedures, and contributing to the operational continuity of the mining unit. Requirements Mandatory: Graduate or certified technician in Industrial Electricity, Industrial Electrotechnology, Electrical Maintenance, or related fields. Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial, mining, or operational equipment electrical maintenance. Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical switchboards, motors, pumps, lighting systems, electrical distribution, grounding wells, and auxiliary equipment. Knowledge of industrial electricity, electrical fault diagnosis, wiring, protective devices, grounding, and basic interpretation of electrical schematics. Proficiency with multimeter, clamp meter, megohmmeter, and electrical/manual tools. Training or knowledge in electrical safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO), high-risk work, IPERC, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Desirable: Experience in underground mining, processing plants, mining camps, or auxiliary services. Knowledge of frequency inverters, starting systems, fans, winches, submersible pumps, and conventional mining equipment. Experience in maintenance of industrial foodservice equipment: ovens, fryers, cold rooms, refrigerators, stoves, or dishwashers. Driver's license AIIB. Basic proficiency in Excel or digital maintenance record systems. Basic Quechua language skills. Main Responsibilities: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, switchboards, motors, luminaires, pumps, wiring, and mine installations. Diagnose electrical faults through inspection, measurement testing, and review of operating conditions. Verify electrical protections, connections, insulation, grounding, and critical components. Apply lockout, tagout, work permits, and hazardous energy controls before equipment intervention. Carry out authorized electrical installations and commissioning at the mine, camp, or support areas. Coordinate with maintenance, operations, mining, and SSOMA teams to execute safe work practices and minimize operational impact. Record completed work, identified faults, spare parts used, and pending conditions. Work schedule: 15 days on / 10 days off.
