As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne\+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehouse operations for our clients. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to your team’s success but also support the daily functioning and strong performance of warehouses and distribution centers. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. The Continuous Improvement Engineer GB ensures the existence, updating, and verification of SOPs and WIs for the various processes carried out at the Distribution Center, guaranteeing document accuracy against the actual floor reality of each process through verification.
Provide support under the Lean Six Sigma methodology to ensure execution of various Kaizen, Yellow Belt, Green Belt, and Black Belt projects that drive operations toward continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. Ensure operational excellence based on Excellence 2\.0, according to the maturity level to be implemented.
**How you’ll make an impact**
* Lead and/or continuously support the Continuous Improvement (Production System) team in developing improvement projects with financial impact for the Distribution Center.
* Support the development (guidance), updating, and control of SOPs/WIs for processes carried out at the Distribution Center, and conduct frequent process verifications.
* Support the setup and implementation of the PMX productivity measurement system, and subsequently ensure its correct usage across the entire warehouse.
* Train warehouse personnel on all topics and tools related to Continuous Improvement (according to Excellence 2\.0 maturity level): awareness sessions, knowledge transfer, and culture building.
* Ensure standardization of visual management, 5S culture, standardized work, updated dashboards, proper usage, and optimal conditions across the entire Distribution Center.
* Conduct periodic audits of operations to ensure compliance with the current or target Excellence 2\.0 level; and jointly develop action plans with operations to elevate the current level or achieve the target level.
* Continuously analyze account productivities, KPIs, and process maps to identify quick-win improvement opportunities or potential YB, GB, or BB projects.
* Collaborate closely with other support functions such as HR and QSHE to ensure organizational management enabling employee development and growth within the company.
* Continuously upskill to deliver added value to your role.
* Perform other duties as reasonably required and justified by your immediate supervisor.
**What we’d like you to bring**
* Technician or graduate in Industrial Engineering or related fields.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), with advanced Excel skills.
* Knowledge of process mapping, 5S, visual management, eight wastes, five Lean principles, standardized work, Ishikawa diagrams, and Five Whys.
* Experience in logistics, continuous improvement projects, operational excellence, and Lean Six Sigma (Yellow Belt level knowledge).
* Intermediate English.
* POSITION TO BE FILLED IN LURIN.
