Supervise and develop a direct team **Company:** ------------ Marsh **Description:** ---------------- We are seeking a talented individual to join our **Controller** Team. This role will be based in **Lima, Perú** . This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office The **Accounting Manager,** reporting to the Country Controller, will be responsible for leading the accounting function across 4 legal entities in Peru, 3 of which are regulated by the SBS, ensuring both local/regulatory compliance and regional corporate reporting under US GAAP. This role carries equal weight on both fronts and requires highly disciplined execution, with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and meeting demanding deadlines. In addition, the role will be expected to respond to ad hoc requests within short turnaround times, while maintaining direct and fluid interaction with key finance and business stakeholders. **We will count on you to:** * Lead the full accounting process across 4 legal entities, ensuring proper recording, reconciliation, and analysis of financial information. * Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of regional corporate reporting under US GAAP on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. * Oversee compliance with local and regulatory requirements for SBS\-regulated entities, including the preparation of financial statements under IFRS with the required local regulatory adjustments. * Coordinate accounting close processes, ensuring the delivery of critical information within established deadlines. * Ensure the preparation and delivery of quarterly balance sheet reporting, including variance analysis and key drivers. * Respond to ad hoc requests within short turnaround times and with a high level of quality, in coordination with the Country Controller when applicable. * Act as the main liaison with shared service centers, ensuring efficient process execution and timely resolution of issues. * Supervise and develop a direct team of 6 people, fostering accountability, collaboration, and a strong control culture. * Work closely with other managers, business leaders, and other functional units. * Strengthen internal controls, process discipline, and operational improvements within the accounting function. * Support external audits, including Big 4 firms, and address related information requests. * Maintain functional knowledge of SUNAT requirements, which is highly valued for the role. * Lead the optimization of current processes through the use of cutting\-edge tools, including databases, automation, and artificial intelligence, with the goal of improving efficiency, traceability, and data quality. **What you need to have:** * Certified Public Accountant, required. * More than 12 years of professional experience in accounting, financial reporting, or controllership. * At least 3 years of experience in similar leadership roles. * Experience in multinational companies, ideally with exposure to reporting standards comparable to publicly listed companies. * Strong experience in regional reporting and local/regulatory compliance. * Experience with US GAAP and IFRS. * Experience with Oracle, required. * Experience supporting Big 4 audits. * Knowledge of and/or exposure to SUNAT audits, highly valued. * Experience in SBS\-regulated environments, preferred. * Demonstrated experience or ability to lead improvement and transformation initiatives supported by analytics, databases, automation, and artificial intelligence. **What makes you stand out?** * Team leadership * Stakeholder management * Results orientation and deadline management * Strong accounting technical skills * Ability to work under pressure * Organization, judgment, and operational discipline * Clear and effective communication * Ability to manage multiple priorities * Continuous improvement mindset * Cross\-functional influence and collaboration * Accountability and ownership * Innovation and adoption of new tools **Success Measures** * Accounting closes executed within established timelines, with high quality and minimal rework. * Regional reporting delivered consistently, accurately, and on time under US GAAP. * Proper compliance with SBS and IFRS requirements for regulated entities. * Quarterly balance sheet reporting delivered with clear, timely, and actionable variance analysis. * A strong, aligned team with solid execution capabilities. * Effective relationships with internal stakeholders and shared service centers. * Continuous improvement in processes, controls, and operational efficiency. * Optimization of current processes through cutting\-edge tools, databases, automation, and artificial intelligence. **Why join our team:** * We help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders. * We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities. * Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well\-being.
