REQUIREMENTS: Technical degree in Welding, Metallurgy, Mechanics, or related fields. Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance of heavy-duty transport units and American-made units. Experience using various welding methods and working with metallic materials used in semi-trailer manufacturing. FUNCTIONS: Perform welding using conventional oxy-acetylene, electric, and resistance welding equipment. Prepare and condition base materials for welding; select equipment, filler materials, and measuring and control tools. Carry out welding and repair work on the metal structure of semi-trailers. Weld structures of varying sizes according to required specifications. Inspect oxy-cutting equipment and welding machines. Plan and coordinate resources (parts, equipment, tools, and personnel) to execute maintenance plans. Provide roadside mechanical assistance. Other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor.
