Position Summary: Responsible for assembling and maintaining the irrigation system, controlling mineral feed at the Leaching Pad, sampling, and coordinating metallurgical operations. Position Mission Responsible for assembling the irrigation system and controlling mineral feed entering the Leaching Pad. 2\. Functions and Expected Outcomes Function Outcome Assemble the irrigation system and metallurgical laboratory; apply cyanide solution to mineral deposited on the leaching pad; conduct metallurgical laboratory tests. Collect mineral samples for shipment to the Chemical Laboratory; analyze various mineral samples. Maintain both drip and sprinkler irrigation systems; ensure proper functioning of irrigation systems. Coordinate with the Shift Supervisor – Plant, Metallurgist, or Leaching Plant Supervisor regarding assigned tasks; fulfill required duties at the Leaching Pad and metallurgical laboratory. Perform duties of Plant Operator Technician during their vacation period; cover all their activities. Comply with PETS (Procedures, Equipment, Tools, and Standards) and safe work practices established within the Occupational Health and Safety Management System. Do not handle or operate machinery, valves, pipelines, or electrical conductors unless properly trained and duly authorized. Prevent any incidents or accidents. Maintain order and cleanliness throughout the Leaching Pad area. Ensure all items are in their designated places and in good condition. Mandatory participation in all scheduled training sessions. Develop specific metallurgical procedures at the Plant Processes and Metallurgical Laboratory (e.g., installing irrigation systems at the Leaching Pad, mineral and solution sampling, mineral sample preparation, column loading, cyanide preparation at the Plant, filter press harvesting, and supporting smelting and slag treatment when required).
