Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary: Ensure the operational readiness and qualified status of equipment and facilities, guaranteeing compliance with GMPs and regulatory requirements for the manufacture of veterinary products. Key Responsibilities: 1. Manage preventive and corrective maintenance plans for technical equipment. 2. Supervise maintenance work and verify TPM compliance. 3. Generate equipment histories and update maintenance plans. Job Objective: Ensure the operational readiness and qualified status of equipment, facilities, and critical services, guaranteeing compliance with GMPs and regulatory requirements mandated by SENASA for the manufacture of veterinary products. Responsibilities: * Develop preventive and corrective maintenance plans and support the selection process for acquiring technical equipment. * Evaluate maintenance work performed by contractors (preventive and corrective). * Supervise scheduled maintenance activities to ensure proper operation of plant equipment. * Report the status of each piece of equipment or machinery to the Production Manager and/or Warehouse Manager to jointly develop an action plan. * Verify proper documentation is recorded for each maintenance activity to enable effective tracking of work in the area. * Verify TPM compliance (checklist) to meet quality standards. * Generate equipment histories for all plant equipment to maintain a record of each equipment’s service life. * Update maintenance plans with spare parts allocation. * Make appropriate decisions and take necessary actions to prevent, control, and reduce hazards posed by equipment to personnel, environment, and finished products. * Travel to various sites to inspect equipment condition, safety status, and compliance with corrective and preventive maintenance activities. Technical Knowledge: * Occupational Health and Safety Standards (SST), IPERC, ATS; Peru’s Law No. 29783 on Safety, GMPs, GAPs. * Methodologies: 5S, TPM, Lean. * Reading technical drawings, hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, welding, industrial equipment. Other Knowledge: * Knowledge of preventive maintenance and/or execution of maintenance activities. * Knowledge of electrical maintenance (motors, transformers) and mechanical maintenance (gearboxes, pumps, etc.); Critical systems: HVAC, compressed air, water (potable/purified). * Participation in engineering projects, process optimization, continuous improvement, safety initiatives, etc. Experience: * Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance within industrial companies (preferably food production, pharmaceutical, or veterinary manufacturing plants), with at least 1\-2 years supervising staff.
