Teaching effective test-taking strategies Job Description We are looking for a math tutor with excellent subject-matter expertise to prepare students for the Math section of the SAT. The selected candidate will work remotely with students aiming to improve their SAT performance, clearly explaining concepts, solving practice problems, and teaching effective test-taking strategies. We seek someone patient, responsible, communicative, and skilled at making complex mathematical concepts easy to understand. Responsibilities * Deliver virtual SAT Math preparation classes. * Explain concepts in algebra, functions, geometry, problem-solving, and other topics tested on the SAT. * Solve SAT-style questions and practice problems step by step. * Teach strategies to improve accuracy, speed, and time management during the exam. * Identify each student’s areas of difficulty and tailor instruction to their individual needs. * Review practice exercises, drills, and full-length mock exams. * Maintain professional and timely communication with students. Requirements * Strong command of high school/pre-college level mathematics. * Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and simply. * Excellent verbal communication skills. * Stable internet connection and a computer for delivering virtual classes. * Responsibility, punctuality, and organizational skills. * Ability to work independently and remotely. Preferred Qualifications * Prior experience preparing students for the SAT. * Experience as a math teacher or tutor. * Familiarity with the current Digital SAT format. * Good English proficiency, especially for understanding SAT questions and materials. Schedule Part-time position, with hours coordinated according to student availability. Compensation $10 USD per hour.
