Job Summary: We are seeking a Construction Resident for transmission line and substation projects, responsible for planning, directing, and executing construction work, optimizing resources, and leading teams. They are responsible for executing construction contracts. They plan, optimize, and supervise the use of resources to ensure construction works are completed on time, according to specifications, and within budget. Their most common responsibilities include: managing contracts and obtaining required permits and licenses; preparing budget estimates; planning and defining construction phases; supervising subcontractor and subordinate or labor personnel activities; verifying progress achieved and work quality throughout all project phases; representing the company in relevant matters. **Candidate Requirements** At ACCIONA, for its INDUSTRIAL business, we require hiring a **CONSTRUCTION RESIDENT** for a transmission line and substation project **located in the Ica region:** **Mission:** Supervise the construction project’s development, capable of managing constraints affecting scope, cost, or schedule. They will be in charge of the site-based project execution team, reporting functionally and hierarchically to the Construction Manager and/or Site Manager. **Responsibilities:** The Construction Resident must perform, among others, the following responsibilities: * Plan, direct, and execute construction works using internal resources. * Propose construction strategies that minimize costs. * Lead the team of directly employed labor personnel. * Establish and maintain relations between the construction team and subcontractors. * Negotiate, award, and manage subcontractor companies. * Maintain information flow regarding construction-related matters between the construction team and other organizations involved in the Project. * Address technical queries related to the construction process raised by subcontractors. * Review and approve subcontractors’ construction procedures. * Review and approve construction changes proposed by subcontractors. * Approve schedules of subcontractors participating in the works and coordinate among them the project’s overall objectives. * Supervise and monitor subcontractors’ work execution, verifying compliance with technical specifications and contractual requirements. * Analyze project schedule progress against construction activity advancements. * Review work scheduling, ensuring alignment with target productivity rates and man-hour ratios. * Be responsible for execution according to the approved plan, meeting required quality standards and agreed cost. * Lead and be accountable for implementing ACCIONA’s occupational health, safety, and environmental risk prevention policy on-site. * Other duties inherent to the position. **Academic Qualifications / Degree:** * Civil Engineering degree, registered with the professional association. **Experience:** * Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Construction Resident in EPC transmission projects in the region, with knowledge of local specifications. Focus on high- and extra-high-voltage lines. **Additional Knowledge:** * Must understand crew structure for construction activities, as well as productivity rates and cost/hour-man ratios. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required; knowledge of CAD and MS Project is desirable. **Permanent Relocation:** * Willingness to reside in Ica, under standard employment conditions.
