Our Machinery team is seeking a **Rental Operations Analyst** to join Inchcape. The purpose of this role is to ensure control, analysis, and optimization of operational, financial, and fleet reliability metrics through comprehensive management of maintenance costs, procurement, services, budgeting, equipment availability, and workshop and field operations productivity.
**What You’ll Do**
* Manage and control costs associated with purchasing spare parts, components, and external services.
* Conduct periodic analyses of cost variances against budget and forecast, and propose corrective actions.
* Identify and manage financial risks associated with fleet operation and maintenance.
* Automate reporting using Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, AI, and other data analytics tools.
* Lead the collection/negotiation and billing process for operational damage recovery from customers.
* Generate work order reports to track man-hours, spare parts, services, and total maintenance costs.
* Prepare maintenance cost reports by equipment, customer, and analyze fleet operational profitability under the cost-per-hour model.
* Prepare reports and monitor maintenance performance indicators (MTTR, MTBF, MTBS, mechanical availability, and others) for leased equipment in D365 and Power BI.
* Manage field asset inventory: Equipment and attachments.
* Conduct internal benchmarking across projects/customers and equipment to identify best practices.
* Ensure compliance with ICS requirements related to operations.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives based on data analysis, cost optimization, and service-level enhancement.
**About You**
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* A completed university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft tools (Dynamics 365 \+ Power BI).
* 3–5 years of experience in operations analysis, maintenance, or management control roles, preferably within heavy equipment rental, mining, construction, transportation, or related industries.
* A strong focus on goal achievement, high self-management capability, commitment, and sense of belonging.
