Job Summary:
A professional responsible for economic control of construction projects, managing budgets, valuations, change orders, and cost tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Daily budget control and management of cost deviations
2. Review and approval of contractor valuations and change orders
3. Coordination and management of suppliers for invoicing
**PROFILE:** Site Economic Control
**REPORTS TO:** Project Manager
* Daily monitoring of the project budget, identifying cost deviations (using the CLIENT'S Excel format)
* Reviews and checks contractor biweekly valuations (first review), supported by the supervisor's progress percentage reports per work item
* Reviews and approves contractor quotations for change orders based on contractual work items and unit prices (APUs) submitted contractually; other items are compared against external quotations or the construction cost book
* Requests and reviews the contractor's S-curve weekly and submits it to the site supervisor for validation to include in the report
* Tracks execution of approved change orders (once approved, communicates scope to the team)
* Manages PDCs (Payment Delivery Certificates) with the CLIENT for approved change orders issued to the general contractor
* Coordinates and manages with the CLIENT'S suppliers the preparation of acceptance certificates for invoicing and service/supply reporting
* Coordinates and manages with the Procurement Department the issuance of acceptance letters for supplier invoicing
* Coordinates and manages with the Procurement Department the asset tagging required for the project
* Manages procurement from external suppliers for change orders required in the project upon CLIENT'S request (quotation requests, OC generation management)
* Weekly review of OC reports (sent by the CLIENT) and comparison against economic control data
* Maintains control of bank guarantees for renewal and/or cancellation according to the OC status

**Desirable:**
* Minimum 5 years of experience in technical offices of projects, specifically in project economic control—either on the contractor side or supervision side
* Experience in project cost management and economic forecasting based on work-item ratios
* Intermediate/advanced Excel proficiency; ability to analyze unit prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Salary: S/.4,000.00 - S/.5,000.00 per month
