Analyze logistics costs and identify opportunities for improvement. **Job Description:** SUMEC Complete Equipment \& Engineering Co., Ltd, Peru Branch — a leading company in the installation and distribution of comprehensive medical equipment — is looking for an Import Coordinator for its Supply Chain department. **Job Mission:** Proactively manage all medical equipment import operations, ensuring on-time arrival, adherence to budget, and full compliance with all applicable regulations. Your performance will be critical to ensuring our supply chain operates efficiently and reliably. **General Responsibilities:** * Coordinate and supervise the import process for medical equipment, ensuring compliance with deadlines, regulations, and applicable health requirements (DIGEMID, MINSA). * Maintain direct communication with international suppliers, freight forwarders, customs authorities, and transportation companies to ensure smooth execution of operations. * Prepare, review, and process required import documentation: commercial invoices, certificates of origin, packing lists, bills of lading, sanitary permits, and customs documents. * Monitor inventories of imported medical equipment, ensuring accuracy of records and timely delivery to the warehouse or corresponding project area. * Analyze logistics and import costs, identifying opportunities for improvement and risk reduction. * Collaborate closely with technical, project, and finance departments to ensure timely deliveries and proper management of international payments. * Identify and mitigate risks associated with the import process, such as delays, customs observations, cost overruns, or product quality issues. * Ensure compliance with applicable national and international regulations governing foreign trade operations for medical equipment. * Prepare import control and traceability reports, as well as supporting documentation for internal and external audits. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, International Business, or related field. * Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, International Business, or related field. * Minimum 5 years of proven experience in importing medical equipment. * Solid knowledge of customs procedures, international logistics, INCOTERMS, health regulations (DIGEMID), and document management. * Proficiency in the sanitary registration process (DIGEMID) and regulatory requirements for medical devices in Peru. * Experience in managing international supply chains and controlling costs. * ERP system experience in procurement and import management. * Intermediate or advanced English proficiency. **Benefits:** * Opportunity for growth in a dynamic and specialized sector. * Excellent work environment and team collaboration. * Competitive compensation package commensurate with experience.
