Job Summary: A prestigious resort in Tarapoto is seeking a Head Chef to plan, organize, and supervise culinary operations, design menus, and ensure quality. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design and update the menu using local ingredients and gourmet standards. 2. Lead and train the kitchen team. 3. Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations. Acting on behalf of a prestigious resort in Tarapoto, we are seeking a Head Chef. **Main Responsibilities** * Plan, organize, and supervise all kitchen department operations. * Design and update the resort’s menu, incorporating local ingredients and gourmet standards. * Guarantee the quality, presentation, and flavor of served dishes. * Supervise and train the kitchen team (chefs, assistants, and interns). * Control costs, waste, inventory, and ingredient orders. * Ensure compliance with hygiene, GMP, and food safety regulations. * Coordinate with Food & Beverage, Procurement, and Administration departments. * Supervise proper service delivery for events, banquets, and special services. **Essential Requirements** * Technical or university degree in Gastronomy, Culinary Arts, or related fields. * Minimum of **2 years** experience as Head Chef or Sous Chef in hotels, resorts, or high-demand restaurants. * Knowledge of national and international cuisines. * Experience leading work teams. * Proficiency in cost management, recipe costing, and inventory control. * Knowledge and application of GMP, HACCP, and sanitary regulations. * Willingness to reside or work in Tarapoto. * Ability to work under pressure. **Benefits** * Market-competitive salary. * 100% covered meals. * 100% covered accommodation.
