Job Summary: Laboratory Assistant to supervise and coordinate human and instrumental resources, ensure quality and sample analysis in precious metals production. Key Highlights: 1. We add value to raw materials through the manufacturing of derivative metal products such as silver nitrate and silver chloride, among other halides, according to the requirements of our valued customers. We are seeking: **LABORATORY ASSISTANT** **Job Mission:** Coordinate and supervise human resources, instruments, and materials; validate controls, tests, studies, and analyses of comprehensive samples requested by plant and mine, in accordance with the Quality Management System, management policy, and current regulations, to ensure optimal sample quality and safety. **Responsibilities:** * Supervise and verify the corresponding registration of received samples (description, batch, weight, type of analysis to be performed). * Verify and ensure compliance with established procedures in the following processes: a) mechanical preparation, b) sample analysis, and c) reporting of results. * Perform calculations related to assay types (Newmont, Metallurgical Tests, Reconnaissance), conducted to generate final results via assay certificates, maintaining appropriate reliability levels. * Supervise laboratory cleanliness and proper organization, as well as other areas assigned to the laboratory. * Record and control daily IQF consumption in the area. * Provide technical guidance to support staff involved in the analysis process. * Prepare a monthly balance of analyzed samples and issued grade reports. * Prepare daily chemical assay reports and monthly laboratory operations reports. * Maintain communication with the “Plant Manager” regarding the dispatch and receipt of coal samples, bullion samples, metallurgical tests, etc., to avoid unnecessary delays. * Review the “Assay Report” provided by the “Laboratory Analyst” to validate information against actual daily progress. * Maintain quality standards satisfying the requirements and needs of our customers (internal and external), per procedures defined under ISO 9001:2008\. * Procure required materials and supplies such as: chemical reagents, materials for chemical analysis, critical materials: crucibles, cups, flux, nitric acid, etc., based on prior knowledge of the projected work plan coordinated with the “Geology Manager”. * Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation (OHSA 18000\), raising awareness among all personnel to achieve zero accidents. * Comply with waste disposal procedures according to guidelines of the Environmental Management System (ISO 14000\). **Requirements:** * Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. * Degree holder in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering. **We Offer:** * Availability to work in CASMA (20x10\) * Formal employment with full benefits Employment Type: Full-time Salary: S/.3,000\.00 \- S/.3,500\.00 per month Application Question(s): * Do you have experience with Atomic Absorption? * Where do you currently live?
