Collaboration with operational and safety teams **Job Posting: Surface Blasting Supervisor – Mine Road** **Corporación Grupo Sur del Perú S.A.C.** is seeking a **Surface Blasting Supervisor** for a rock blasting project using explosives in **mine road works**, located at **Tía María Mining Unit – Arequipa**. The position targets a **Mining Engineer** with field experience, responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing surface blasting activities, ensuring compliance with the project’s safety, quality, and productivity standards. **Requirements** * A duly licensed and registered **Mining Engineer**, mandatory. * Valid professional registration. * Minimum of **3 years’ experience in surface blasting**, counted **from the date of professional registration**. * Experience in mining projects, mine road works, access roads, platforms, earthmoving, or open-pit mining. * Knowledge of explosive loading, connection, firing, and blast control. * Knowledge of blast design or review of drill pattern and blast layouts. * Field personnel management. * Familiarity with safety regulations applicable to explosive use. * Availability to work under a **14x7 work schedule**. * Availability to work at the **Tía María Mining Unit – Arequipa**. **Main Responsibilities** * Plan, coordinate, and supervise **explosive loading and surface blasting activities** for mine road works. * Supervise blasting operations in the field, ensuring compliance with client procedures and standards. * Verify safety conditions before, during, and after each blast. * Supervise explosive loading, connection, and firing. * Monitor blasting parameters such as burden, spacing, powder factor, initiation sequence, among others. * Coordinate with the SSOMA department to ensure compliance with safety regulations, permits, and operational controls. * Coordinate daily blasting activities with the site representative, project manager, and operational staff. * Prepare technical blasting reports, explosive consumption records, and progress updates. * Analyze fragmentation results and support improvements in blast designs. * Monitor potential blast impacts, including vibrations, flyrock, noise, and effects on nearby areas. * Ensure compliance with current regulations governing the use, handling, and control of explosives. **Working Conditions** * **Work Location:** Tía María Mining Unit – Arequipa. * **Project:** Mine road / access roads. * **Work Modality:** On-site at the mine. * **Work Schedule:** 14x7\. * **Project Duration:** Approximately 9 months. * **Meals:** Provided on-site. * **Accommodation:** Provided within the mining camp. * **Transportation:** Provided according to scheduled ascents and descents. * **Employment Type:** MYPE regime. **Remuneration** * Starting from **S/ 7,000\.00**, depending on experience and evaluation.
