Position Summary: We are seeking a Geologist with experience in geological modeling and mineral resource estimation for open-pit and underground mining projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards and regulations. Collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and field visits * A Geologist with 5–8 years of proven experience in geological modeling and mineral resource estimation for open-pit and underground mining projects or operations, under international reporting codes (NI-43-101, JORC, SK-1300\), is required. * Contribute to the development and interpretation of geological, geostatistical, and mineral resource models, ensuring compliance with technical standards, applicable regulations, and client requirements. * Support the preparation and updating of resource estimates, geological databases, block models, and geological domain models for conceptual, pre-feasibility, and feasibility studies. * Actively participate in the analysis and validation of geological information derived from exploration campaigns, drilling, sampling, and mapping, ensuring data quality, traceability, and consistency. * Ensure timely delivery of assigned geological deliverables within budget and to high-quality standards, supporting multidisciplinary teams (mining, geotechnical, metallurgical, environmental). * Develop and maintain effective communication with internal technical staff and other disciplines within Wood, ensuring proper geology–mining integration and efficient workflows. * Collect first-hand information from mining operations and exploration projects by participating in field visits, technical meetings with clients, and monitoring project geological performance. * Support the preparation of geological technical reports, progress reports, client presentations, meeting minutes, and technical memoranda. * Contribute to continuous improvement of methodologies, modeling criteria, and geological processes by incorporating best practices and lessons learned from previous projects. * Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field. * 5–8 years of experience in mining, exploration, and/or consulting projects. * Experience in geological modeling, resource estimation, and geological data validation. * Knowledge of international reporting standards (JORC, NI 43-101 or similar). * Proficiency in geological software (Leapfrog, Datamine, Surpac, Vulcan, Micromine, or others). * Experience in QA/QC of drillhole databases. * Fieldwork experience (logging, sampling, mapping, drilling campaigns). * Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. * Technical communication skills (report writing, presentations, minutes). * Strong time management and commitment to deadlines and quality. * Willingness to travel to field sites. * Intermediate or advanced English (desirable).
