Position Summary: We are seeking a Soil Laboratory Technician to perform quality control testing in field and laboratory environments, and provide technical support on mining projects. Our CQA team is growing, and we are currently recruiting a **Soil Laboratory Technician**. **About the Role** * Perform quality control tests in field and laboratory: in-situ density (nuclear method and sand cone), moisture content, Proctor, gradation, Atterberg limits, among others. * Prepare, label, and log samples according to established protocols, ensuring full traceability. * Verify calibration and operational status of equipment (nuclear densometer, balances, ovens, molds, etc.). * Comply with sampling, testing, and safety procedures as required by project specifications and international standards. * Provide technical support to the CQA Supervisor during material evaluation and approval of construction layers. * Approve laboratory and field test results, verifying compliance with project specifications and standards, in accordance with drawings and Technical Specifications. * Adhere to and enforce safety procedures and standards throughout the duration of the service. **About You** * Technician qualified in laboratory and concrete-related disciplines. * Experience in basic laboratory testing, including gradation, moisture content (MC%), Atterberg limits, and soil density tests. * Experience preparing technical reports and documentation for containment dams and leach pads (PADs). * Minimum 5 years of experience in the mining sector (mandatory).
