Job Summary: Archaeology professional responsible for archaeological monitoring and supervision in construction projects, preparing reports and coordinating with authorities. Key Highlights: 1. Experience in archaeological monitoring during construction projects. 2. Coordination with the Ministry of Culture. 3. Preparation of reports and technical documentation. REQUIREMENTS * Graduate in **Archaeology**. * Professional registration and license, as applicable. * Proven experience in construction, road infrastructure, sanitation, bridge, and/or similar projects. * Experience in **archaeological monitoring during construction projects**. * Knowledge of procedures and requirements established by the **Ministry of Culture**. * Availability for fieldwork. * Ability to prepare reports and technical documentation. * Willingness to travel to the project site. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES * Conduct **archaeological monitoring and oversight** during project execution. * Supervise earthmoving, excavation, cutting, trenching, and other activities that may pose a risk to archaeological heritage. * Verify that construction activities comply with measures protecting cultural heritage. * Timely identification of potential **archaeological findings** during project execution. * Establish and implement appropriate preventive measures upon identifying archaeological evidence. * Immediately notify the project manager of any finding or situation that may endanger cultural heritage. * Coordinate with the **Ministry of Culture** and/or competent authorities, as required. * Verify compliance with commitments and protective measures outlined in approved archaeological instruments for the project. * Prepare **reports, records, forms, summaries, and technical documentation** related to archaeological activities. * Maintain documented and photographic records of monitoring activities performed. * Participate in on-site archaeological inspections and verifications. * Coordinate with the **Site Manager, Supervision Team, Technical Office, Production Department, Safety and Environment Unit** to prevent damage to cultural heritage. * Provide guidance and awareness training to construction personnel regarding protection of archaeological heritage and procedures for handling potential findings. * Verify that project intervention areas fall within authorized boundaries and conditions. * Support the management of permits, authorizations, reports, and documentation required by the Ministry of Culture, as applicable. * Follow up on observations and recommendations issued by competent authorities. * Other duties related to the specialty assigned by the project leadership.
