Job Summary: Coordinate and execute blasting instrumentation to ensure reliable data collection and compliance with quality and safety standards, managing information and generating reports. Key Responsibilities: 1. Coordination and execution of instrumentation in blasting processes 2. Data management, report generation, and quality control 3. Analysis of impact on KPIs and equipment maintenance Mission or Objective: Coordinate and execute instrumentation during the blasting process, adhering to quality and safety standards, and ensuring acquisition of reliable data for processing and use as information by the team. * Record blasts, monitor vibrations, and measure fragmentation resulting from blasts in targeted areas using equipment such as drones, high-speed cameras, seismographs, etc., to report compliance with contractual KPIs. * Manage the database and maintain measurement records in the systems relevant to operations to ensure all information is available for analysis, audits, or reporting. * Prepare daily blast reports, monthly reports, and other documents required by the client to ensure fulfillment of established contractual commitments. * Generate quantitative reports assessing the impact on KPIs arising from occurrences in the blasting process, identifying findings to be escalated to the Service Manager/Technical Representative for immediate corrective action. * Maintain up-to-date inventory records for equipment (e.g., seismographs, microtraps, drones, and consumables) to report availability, calibration status, maintenance history, and other relevant aspects. * Conduct quality control of blasting agents and explosive mixtures in the laboratory according to the product technical data sheet to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications. * Verify that samples of explosive mixture densities taken by field operators during loading comply with parameters specified in the technical data sheet. * Measure and verify that the explosive's detonation velocity (VOD) falls within the specifications outlined in the technical data sheet. Requirements: * Minimum 2 years of experience in mining. * At least 1 year of experience in the blasting area. * Graduate Engineer in Mining Engineering or related discipline. * Professional registration desirable. * Desirable knowledge in rock blasting design and execution, data science and programming (Power BI), and proficiency in PowerApps. * Intermediate knowledge: specialized blasting software (Blastware, Microtrap, Thor, JK Simblast, Paradigm, DAS, OpitBlast); English language. * Advanced knowledge: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Experience in process management and continuous improvement. * Class A1 driver's license held for at least two years.
