Position Summary: We are seeking a Network and Telecommunications Infrastructure Technician to support the implementation and operation of services at points of presence, with an interest in critical infrastructure and data centers. Key Highlights: 1. Development in critical telecommunications infrastructure environments. 2. Participation in critical infrastructure projects. 3. Exposure to carrier and data center technologies. At PIT, we are looking for a Network and Telecommunications Infrastructure Technician to support operational activities and service implementation across the company's various points of presence. We seek a candidate interested in developing expertise in critical telecommunications infrastructure, data networks, and data centers, participating in field activities such as installation, maintenance, and technical support. Responsibilities * Execute installation, maintenance, and support activities for telecommunications infrastructure in data centers and points of presence. * Support commissioning and verification of network and transport equipment. * Conduct technical inspections and on-site information gathering. * Execute procedures for service connection, disconnection, and reconfiguration. * Perform basic connectivity tests and service validation. * Record evidence, technical documentation, and reports of executed activities. * Coordinate operational activities with clients, vendors, and data centers. * Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for infrastructure. * Comply with the company's established safety and quality procedures. Requirements * Technical graduate or final-cycle student in Telecommunications, Electronics, Networking, Systems, or related fields. * Minimum 1 year of experience in telecommunications, network infrastructure, transmission, or data centers. * Basic knowledge of IP networks and telecommunications. * Knowledge of data transport and transmission technologies. * Familiarity with DWDM, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS, or related technologies is desirable. * Experience working in data centers, telecommunications carriers, NOCs, or technology infrastructure companies is desirable. * Availability to perform fieldwork within Lima.
