Job Summary: Supervise and coordinate the assembly, alignment, and commissioning of mechanical systems—especially turbines—ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and applicable standards. On-site safety compliance audit General Job Objective Directly supervise, coordinate, and inspect assembly, alignment, testing, and commissioning activities of mechanical systems, with particular emphasis on turbines and auxiliary equipment within the power plant, ensuring contractors strictly comply with engineering drawings, manufacturer specifications, schedule deadlines, quality standards, and current occupational health and safety regulations (SSOMA). Main Responsibilities and Functions * Assembly Supervision: Supervise mechanical assembly processes for turbines, control systems, bearings, lubrication systems, and other critical power plant components. * Precision Control: Validate alignments and mechanical tolerances of rotating equipment using precision tools, ensuring compliance with manufacturer technical data sheets. * Protocol Approval: Review and approve mechanical quality protocols, pressure tests, static and dynamic tests prior to commissioning. * Interdisciplinary Coordination: Closely coordinate with civil and instrumentation supervision to prevent physical or scheduling interferences during mechanical component installation. * Reporting: Prepare daily and weekly technical progress reports, documenting milestones, schedule deviations, man-hours, and any event impacting the critical path. * Site Safety: Audit compliance with Safe Work Analyses (SWA) and high-risk work permits (lifting, confined space entry, hot work) in the mechanical area. Candidate Requirements * Academic Qualification: Licensed and registered professional in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical-Electrical Engineering, or Electromechanical Engineering. * General Experience: Minimum 4–5 years of general experience in construction, assembly, or major maintenance of power generation plants (hydroelectric, thermal, or others). * Specific Experience: Demonstrated specific experience supervising turbine assembly, technical alignment, and commissioning of power generation turbines. * Technical Knowledge: Advanced ability to read mechanical drawings, P&ID diagrams, and technical catalogs and instructions from global turbine manufacturers. * Availability and Logistics: Residence in the Junín region or full availability to relocate and reside full-time in San Ramón/Chanchamayo for a period of 4 months.
