Job Summary: Electrical and instrumentation technician focused on preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring the operability and safety of equipment in grain and mineral systems. MISSION Efficiently carry out all electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities for the grain system, promptly and prudently alerting to any risk situations affecting equipment, health, and/or the environment. In emergencies, respond proactively and effectively while maintaining high standards of commitment, communication, safety, and environmental care. RESPONSIBILITIES Carry out instructions and directives from the Grain System Electrical Supervisor, appropriately reporting progress, performance, and goal achievement. Execute preventive and corrective electrical and instrumentation maintenance orders, supported by maintenance manuals, electrical and instrumentation standards, and work procedures established by the area management, identifying required resources and time for each operation. Complementing this by notifying assigned maintenance orders within established deadlines. Perform installations and modifications to the electrical and instrumentation systems according to applicable electrical and instrumentation standards for equipment in the Mechanized Grain System’s receiving and dispatching areas and the Mineral System F. Timely request materials and supplies required for scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance operations. Request approval for respective warehouse withdrawals (reservations), verifying spare parts and material status, coordinating necessary facilitations for complex movements, and reporting stock shortages or returns of spare parts, materials, and/or supplies. Report any anomalous events involving equipment, components, elements, or systems—whether owned or third-party—that could pose risks to port operations, safety, or environmental protection. Promptly report the need for additional work such as repairs, part fabrication, mechanical or electrical welding, and other observations made during execution of scheduled electrical and instrumentation maintenance, priority tasks, or equipment and machinery inspections. Timely request acquisition of components, elements, and spare parts required for planned and priority electrical and instrumentation maintenance work. Control and inspect systems, equipment, and components that are part of port operations and fall under their discipline. Their scope of responsibility includes: monitoring and control instrumentation for systems; PLCs; frequency inverters; soft starters; displays; batch-type scales; general sensors; industrial networks (Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet); SCADA; pneumatic and hydraulic solenoid valves; and control software. Keep routine occurrence reports, silo and absorber tower system checklists for the grain system, as well as corresponding equipment records for Mineral System F, and specific activity, performance, and resource utilization logs up to date. Perform electrical and mechanical energy lockout procedures on systems and equipment before intervention, both in scheduled and emergency circumstances. Monitor dispatch and receiving operations related to transport and movement systems, as well as lifting operations, from MCC electrical rooms—through direct visual observation and also via control instruments, alarm and fault panels, load capacities, temperatures, and current consumption. Inform and guide problem resolution and restoration of operational conditions of the system through interpretation of information recorded in the control and status tools mentioned above. Maintain order, cleanliness, and proper condition of instrumentation and operational and maneuvering equipment in the MCC electrical rooms of the Mechanized Grain System and Mineral System F, as well as workshop, tool, instrument, equipment, and machinery cleaning in the area. Report completed scheduled work and equipment failures under their responsibility to the Area Head and/or Supervisor, to ensure prompt replacement of components. Perform rotational shift duties supporting vessel operations for the grain receiving system and Mineral System F, guaranteeing proper functioning of equipment belonging to both systems. Report to the Wharf Supervisor regarding equipment behavior, alarm logs, and/or potential risk situations observed during receiving operations. At TISUR, we don’t just move cargo—we move the future! Requirements Graduate/Bachelor's degree or certified technician in Industrial Electronics and Automation, Industrial Electronics, or Industrial Electrotechnics.
