Drill Operator

Responsibilities
Operate mining equipment safely and efficiently, in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
Antapaccay is a copper mining operation belonging to the Glencore Group since 2013\. It commenced operations in November 2012, following several years of exploration investment aimed at extending the life of the Tintaya mine.
The mining settlement is located in the province of Espinar, Cusco region, at an elevation of 4,100 meters above sea level.
This operation enables us to continue contributing to the sustainable development of the province of Espinar, not only by fostering the creation of direct and indirect jobs and boosting the local economy through procurement from local businesses, but also by investing in social projects targeted at communities within our area of influence.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements: Minimum 4 years of experience as a Drill Operator on Primary Drill models (CAT MD6640, CAT MD6540, P\&H320XPC, PV\-351E, Sandvick dr416\) and Secondary Drill models (Sandvick) or equivalent. Minimum 4 years of experience in open-pit mining operations. Essential: Completed secondary education; preferred: graduate or certified in Heavy Equipment Operation.
Other Requirements and Qualifications
Essential: Valid driver’s license AIIa, AIIb or higher.
Essential: Knowledge of main components of a drill rig and drill steels. Preferred: Basic knowledge of mechanics and electricity.
Preferred: Knowledge of the unit operations process for Drilling and Blasting. Preferred: Knowledge and experience in operating the primary drill automation system.
