Job Summary:
We are seeking an SSOMA Supervisor to lead the supervision and continuous improvement of the safety, occupational health, and environmental management system within a mining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervision of compliance with SSOMA procedures and the annual plan.
2. Identification and management of hazards related to occupational safety and health.
3. Proposing improvements to the SSOMA management system.
A reputable company serving major clients in the mining sector is looking for top talent to fill the position of **SSOMA Supervisor** in **Cercado de Lima and Callao**.
**What do we require from you?**
* Degree holder and duly licensed professional in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields. (Mandatory)
* Completion of a 120-hour diploma program in Occupational Safety and Health. (Mandatory)
* Minimum 3 years of experience as an SSOMA Supervisor or Coordinator, preferably in the oil & gas, construction, or mining industries.
* Availability to work in Central Lima or Callao. (Mandatory)
**What will your responsibilities be with us?**
* Supervise workers’ and contractors’ compliance with SSOMA management system procedures and documentation; implement and monitor adherence to the annual SSOMA activity plan.
* Conduct inspections across various work areas to identify potential hazards affecting workers’ physical integrity and health. Manage corrective and preventive actions arising from inspections.
* Propose and coordinate changes aimed at continuously improving the occupational safety, health, and environmental management system.
* Submit weekly operational field reports on occupational safety and health matters to the SSOMA Manager at AHK.
* Collaborate with process owners in conducting Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (IPERC) whenever changes occur in processes, infrastructure, equipment, or new projects, to prevent occupational accidents or diseases.
* Collaborate with process owners in developing the Significant Environmental Aspects Identification Matrix (IAAS), in response to changes in processes, infrastructure, equipment, or new projects, with the objective of preserving the environment and minimizing ecological impact.
* Deliver safety, occupational health, and environmental talks, training, and inductions to new staff, contractors, and visitors.
