Position Summary: Stantec is seeking a Grouting Expert to review geological designs, contractor submittals, make engineering decisions, and coordinate field teams. Key Highlights: 1. Coordinate work and review deliverables from the shift grouting engineer. **Requisition Number:** 23765BR **Description:** Stantec requires hiring a GROUTING EXPERT for its offices in Peru, a professional with at least 15 years of general work experience. Some of their specific responsibilities will include: * Reviewing and becoming familiar with geological aspects of structural design, including drawings, specifications, field investigation reports, and construction records. * Reviewing technical sections of contractor submittals related to grouting, RFI’s, and material/equipment substitution requests, and providing responses to the construction manager. * Working with Stantec’s grouting inspectors to ensure their records incorporate the necessary technical details to document foundation grout curtain injections and demonstrate compliance with drawings and specifications. * Making engineering decisions regarding test and production grouting, including curtain grouting drill length, sealing, and the need for additional drills. * Reviewing contractor quality control (QC) test results and Stantec quality assurance (QA) reports prepared by the construction manager. * Collaborating with the resident engineer and site manager to resolve non-conformances. * Collaborating with the resident engineer and site manager to resolve design-related issues and claims. * Coordinating work and reviewing deliverables from the shift grouting engineer. * Coordinating work tasks and personnel with the rest of Stantec’s field team to efficiently cover all work fronts. * Identifying tasks or activities required to complete the work and communicating them to the client and grouting contractor to plan and track necessary tasks. * Supporting chemical grout injection activities, including: developing Stantec safety documentation; supporting SMCV in planning activities; reviewing contractor grouting certificates, procedures, and work plans; identifying and communicating potential risks and opportunities associated with storage, handling, and use of chemical cement grout. * At the request of the resident engineer and site manager, representing Stantec at field meetings, preparing and delivering presentations to the consultant board, documenting daily work, preparing monthly report sections, developing sections of the Final Construction Report, mentoring junior-level staff, coordinating work with Stantec’s headquarters personnel, and performing other assigned duties. * Leading and/or assisting in proposal development and contract negotiations. * Technical expert in cement grout injection for dam foundation applications. * Technical experience in applying chemical cement grout. **Qualifications:** Job requirements are: * Degree in geology, applied geology to engineering, or geological engineering * Licensed and authorized to practice * Master’s degree in geology, applied geology to engineering, or geological engineering preferred * Professional registration or licensure as a geologist, engineering geologist, or geological engineer * Advanced English proficiency. **About Stantec:** Stantec’s community comprises approximately 31,000 employees working across more than 450 locations on six continents.
