Job Summary: ECOSEAM SAC is seeking a licensed HSE Engineer to supervise and advise on safety, occupational health, and environmental management in mining operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. Leadership in continuous improvement and training **ECOSEAM SAC** **HSE ENGINEER** **REQUIREMENTS:** \- Licensed Engineer qualified in Mining Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. \- Minimum 3 years of experience supervising mining operations. \- Minimum 3 years of experience performing high-risk tasks in mining or similar sectors. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** \- Supervise housekeeping and cleanliness activities within the Scrap Yard and halt operations if conditions change (e.g., adverse weather, substandard tools, etc.). \- Advise on safety matters related to the production process for handling and loading metallic and non-metallic waste at the mine. \- Ensure implementation and compliance with applicable legal regulations concerning safety, occupational health, and environmental management.\- Implement the Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Plan related to the Project. \- Participate in preparing the monthly work plan for the following month, to be submitted to ECOSEAM management by the 25th of each month. \- Provide a safe workplace by identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing control measures. \- Verify the use of PPE in work areas and enforce disciplinary action if personnel are not equipped with required PPE. \- Review and approve PPE requisition requests issued by the Logistics Department to personnel. \- Submit monthly safety performance reports—including objective, target, and program reports, as well as other compliance documentation—to the Contract Administrator and ECOSEAM SAC Operations Management. \- Prepare, participate in, and lead emergency preparedness and response planning.\- Train staff on safety, environmental, and related topics. \- Attend monthly meetings convened at the client’s request.\- Prior to project commencement, prepare and verify Change Management documentation. Upon project completion, compile the Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental dossier for project closure. \- Ensure that supervisors and staff generally understand, comprehend, and perform their field tasks in accordance with established safety procedures and standards. \- Verify and follow up on action plans implemented for continuous improvement. \- Promote adherence to Organizational Policies and Procedures (ECOSEAM SAC). \- Lead continuous improvement efforts toward fostering a harmonious work environment for employee well-being and organizational benefit.
