Mission:
Collaborate and support projects carried out by your unit/department, in accordance with guidelines provided by your supervisor, to execute delegated tasks satisfying internal customer needs.
This subfunction focuses on ensuring a sustainable environmental impact across all organizational activities. It includes: introducing continuous improvement guidelines to foster sustainable behavior; promoting sustainable use of materials; raising employee awareness regarding environmental importance through ongoing training; communicating and reporting on the company’s environmental management, among other responsibilities.
**Candidate Requirements**
For ACCIONA’s INDUSTRIAL business, we require hiring an **ENVIRONMENTAL COORDINATOR** for a transmission line and substation project **located in the Ica region:**
**Mission:**
Lead and coordinate the project’s environmental management, ensuring compliance with the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), environmental permits, applicable legal requirements, and corporate standards through planning, implementation, and supervision of environmental measures, thereby promoting responsible and sustainable execution of construction works.
**Responsibilities:**
* Develop, implement, and maintain the project’s Environmental Management Plan in accordance with the approved EIA.
* Ensure compliance with environmental commitments established in the EIA and associated permits.
* Coordinate and supervise proper implementation of environmental measures on site (waste management, dust control, noise, soil, flora, and fauna).
* Manage environmental monitoring, periodic reporting, and deliverables to authorities.
* Coordinate internal environmental inspections and accompany regulatory agency audits.
* Manage environmental non-conformities and define corrective and preventive actions.
* Train personnel (own staff and subcontractors) on environmental topics.
* Verify environmental compliance of subcontractors and suppliers.
* Maintain environmental documentation traceability for the project.
* Prepare environmental performance reports (KPIs) for project management.
* Coordinate with Construction, Quality, SOMA, and Logistics departments.
* Participate in project environmental closure processes.
* Other duties inherent to the position.
**Required Profile**
**Academic Qualifications / Degree:**
* Graduate in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biology, or related disciplines, complemented by specific training or demonstrable experience in this field.
* Professional registration (Colegiatura) in good standing is desirable.
* Specialization or diploma in Environmental Management, EIA, or Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001) is desirable.
**Experience:**
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in environmental management for EPC or infrastructure projects.
* Desired experience in transmission line and/or electrical substation projects.
* Direct experience implementing and monitoring EIA commitments.
* Participation in environmental audit processes (OEFA or equivalent agencies).
* Experience in waste management, impact control, and environmental monitoring.
* Experience working with subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams on site.
**Languages and Required Proficiency:**
* Basic technical English is desirable.
**Additional Knowledge:**
* Peruvian environmental legislation applicable to energy projects.
* Implementation of Environmental Management Plans.
* Management of solid and hazardous waste.
* Preparation of environmental reports.
* Coordination with environmental authorities.
* Intermediate-level Microsoft Office.
* Environmental document control.
**Relocation:**
* Willingness to reside in Ica under standard work regime.
