Today, we are expanding our impact into the veterinary sector and seeking professionals committed to improving access to human and animal health. **Your Role as Programmer Analyst:** **We are looking for (1) Programmer Analyst** focused on application development, integration, and maintenance, with an emphasis on modernizing technological solutions. This role involves collaborating on the migration of legacy systems (Visual Basic and FoxPro) to modern platforms such as C# and .NET with MySQL databases. **Key Responsibilities:** **Application Development and Integration** ● Develop, update, and maintain critical application modules. ● Collaborate on the migration of legacy systems—particularly those developed in FoxPro and Visual Basic—to modern environments (C# and .NET) and database migration to MySQL. **Implementation of Agile Methodologies** ● Actively participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and sprint reviews. ● Propose improvements and optimizations based on agile practices. **Code Management** ● Use and promote version control systems such as Git, GitHub, and GitLab. ● Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with established standards. **Technical Support and Documentation** ● Contribute to the creation and updating of technical and functional documentation. ● Provide support on technology integration and migration topics. **What We Look for in You:** **Education** ● University degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. **Experience** ● Proven experience in software development and integration projects, preferably with exposure to legacy system migration. **Technical Knowledge** ● Proficiency in .NET technologies. ● Experience in developing and maintaining applications in FoxPro and Visual Basic (VB), with ability to collaborate on migrations to MySQL. ● Experience and proficiency in software architectures such as MVC and N-Tier. ● Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS (optional), and server administration. ● Use of version control systems (Git) and collaborative tools (ideal). ● Proficiency in database management systems (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, etc.). ● Experience in migrating legacy databases, especially from FoxPro and Visual Basic to MySQL. ● Incident handling. ● Foundational database knowledge: Entity-relationship design and table normalization. **Complementary Skills** ● Strong communication and teamwork skills. ● Analytical ability to identify and resolve technical problems. ● Proactive attitude and ability to work in agile and dynamic environments. **What We Offer:** ● Social benefits as required by law. ● Formal employment registration (General Regime) from day one. ● Compensation commensurate with candidate’s experience and capabilities. ● A collaborative and challenging work environment. ● Opportunities for professional and personal growth. ● Direct participation in innovative and high-impact projects. ● Training in agile methodologies.
